Primary School Online Learning
British Curriculum Education For Children Aged 4–11
Online Learning for Primary Years
Primary education is one of the most important stages in a child’s learning journey.
Between ages 5 and 11, children build the foundations they will use throughout school, home education, international learning and future exam pathways. They develop number confidence, reading fluency, writing accuracy, vocabulary, curiosity, problem solving and early study habits.
ON22 Academy supports Primary Years students through structured online learning that is clear, encouraging and age-appropriate.
The aim is not to rush children into exam pressure. The aim is to help them feel secure, capable and ready for the next stage.
Primary Years online learning may support children who are attending school, learning at home, living internationally, preparing for a curriculum transition or needing extra confidence in key subjects.

PRIMARY SUBJECTS

MATHEMATICS
Primary mathematics helps children build confidence with numbers, patterns, reasoning and problem-solving. Some children find maths stressful because they feel slow, confused or afraid of making mistakes. Others understand ideas but need more fluency. Good primary maths support should help children understand what they are doing, not only memorise steps.

ENGLISH
Primary English supports reading, writing, spelling, grammar, vocabulary and communication. English confidence matters across every subject. A child who reads more confidently can access science, maths word problems, humanities, languages and future exam subjects more easily. Primary English support should help children enjoy language while also building accuracy and structure.

FRENCH
Primary French may be suitable for children who are ready to begin learning a modern foreign language in a gentle and engaging way. At primary age, French should be introduced in a positive and confidence-building way. The aim is not to create exam pressure. The aim is to help children enjoy language learning, hear new sounds, build vocabulary and become more confident speaking aloud.

SPANISH
Primary Spanish may be suitable for children who are ready to begin learning a modern foreign language through simple, structured online support. At the primary level, Spanish should be introduced through manageable steps. Children can build confidence by learning useful words, repeating phrases, listening to pronunciation and using language in simple contexts.

SCIENCE
Primary Science helps children develop curiosity, observation, questioning and early scientific understanding. Science at the primary level should encourage curiosity. Children should be supported to ask questions, notice patterns and explain what they observe. This prepares them for more formal science study in lower secondary and later GCSE or IGCSE science.
