About ON22 Academy
A virtual academy and online education provider offering live lessons, British Curriculum learning pathways and exam preparation guidance for students aged 5β19.
Who We Are
ON22 is not a registered school, exam centre or authorised IB World School. Where external qualifications are involved, parents register directly with approved centres, exam boards, British Council centres, schools or authorised providers.
Our Purpose
The purpose of ON22 Academy is to help students learn with structure, confidence and direction. Many families come to online education after trying several different arrangements. A student may be at school but falling behind in Mathematics. A home-educated learner may need a more formal weekly timetable. An international student may need clearer preparation for GCSE, IGCSE or A Level subjects. In those situations, parents often need more than a tutor who simply reacts to homework. They need a clear pathway, subject expertise, regular feedback and someone who understands how each stage connects to future study. ON22 Academy provides that structure through live online teaching, planned lessons, subject resources, progress tracking and academic discussion with families.

The families who benefit most usually have a realistic routine, consistent attendance and a willingness to act on feedback.
Who We Support
Parents want their child’s learning to feel more organised and purposeful. The route to that looks different for each family.
UK Families
Some UK families use ON22 to support learning alongside school β when a student needs help with a subject, confidence has dropped, or exam preparation needs to become more focused.
Home-Educating Families
Home education works well with a clear plan. ON22 supports home-educating families with subject teaching, timetable structure and exam preparation guidance. Parents remain responsible for legal and local authority requirements.
International Families
International families want access to British Curriculum teaching while living outside the UK. The challenge is often alignment: curriculum, exam boards, private candidate centres and long-term progression.
Private Candidate Families
ON22 provides academic preparation and guidance for private candidates. Parents register directly with approved exam centres, exam boards and British Council centres. Centre rules, deadlines and practical requirements vary.

Academic Pathways
ON22 Academy organises learning through academic pathways so parents can understand where their child sits and what the next step should be.
π Primary Years β Ages 5β11
Foundations in reading, writing, number confidence, scientific curiosity and good learning habits. Gaps at this stage are often small but important.
π¬ Lower Secondary β Ages 11β14
Deeper subject knowledge, stronger written explanations and independent study habits across more demanding topics.
π Upper Secondary β Ages 14β16
GCSE and IGCSE preparation with careful planning around subjects, exam boards, revision, mock assessment and private candidate arrangements.
ποΈ Post-16 Pathways β Ages 16β19
A Level and IB-style academic support, heavier subject knowledge, and decisions connected to UCAS, university entry and future careers.
Subjects We Teach
Structured subject teaching across core and selected academic areas β from Primary foundations through to A Level and university preparation.
Mathematics
Number fluency, arithmetic, algebra, geometry, ratio, statistics, probability, GCSE Foundation and Higher preparation, A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
Strong Maths teaching means explaining reasoning, spotting mistakes and building confidence with unfamiliar problems β not just showing methods.
English
Reading, comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, creative writing, transactional writing, English Language analysis, English Literature, essay planning and evidence-based written responses.
Many students don’t struggle because they lack ideas β they struggle because they can’t organise their thoughts clearly under pressure.
Science
Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Combined Science, separate sciences, scientific reasoning, calculations, exam technique and subject-specific vocabulary.
Families should check centre-specific requirements for practical, coursework or assessment components where relevant.
French & Spanish
Speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, translation, pronunciation and cultural understanding.
Students preparing for GCSE, IGCSE or A Level languages need steady practice over time β short bursts before exams rarely build enough confidence.
Examination Preparation and Safe Guidance
ON22 Academy supports students preparing for external qualifications, including GCSE, IGCSE, A Level and IB-style academic routes where appropriate.
Relevant education entities may include Pearson Edexcel, AQA, OCR, Cambridge International, OxfordAQA, British Council centres and UCAS, depending on the student’s route.
ON22 Academy does not award qualifications and does not operate as an exam centre. Parents and guardians are responsible for registering directly with approved centres, exam boards, British Council centres, schools or authorised providers where available.

Our exam preparation support may include:
- Subject teaching aligned to exam board specifications
- Revision planning and structured mock assessment
- Feedback on written work and exam technique
- Predicted grade evidence where appropriate
- Academic references where appropriate
- Guidance on private candidate routes and examination pathways

What Makes ON22 Different
ON22 Academy sits between three common options: traditional schooling, general tutoring and independent home study. We are not a traditional school, and we do not present ourselves as one. Our focus is structured online learning, academic pathways and informed guidance for families who need a clearer route.
Many families do not need more noise. They need a plan that can actually be followed.

Many families do not need more noise. They need a plan that can actually be followed.
Our Experience Supporting Families
In our experience, families rarely need vague reassurance. They need clarity.
What actually drives progress
A motivated student with a quiet workspace and a consistent weekly routine can make very strong progress online. A student who misses lessons, avoids follow-up work or has no structure at home is likely to struggle, even with good teaching.
International families
International families often need help understanding how British Curriculum learning connects to local arrangements. The question is usually not academic ability β it is curriculum alignment, exam boards, private candidate centres and long-term progression.
Home educators and exam timing
Home-educating families often need support turning freedom into a workable academic routine. GCSE and IGCSE families often need earlier exam centre planning than they expected.
We have learned that parents appreciate directness. It is better to explain workload, deadlines and limitations early than to make promises that are difficult to defend later.
Safeguarding and Student Wellbeing
Online learning still needs strong expectations around conduct, communication and safety. ON22 Academy’s approach includes clear safeguarding and wellbeing procedures, appropriate teacher-student boundaries, attendance expectations, parent communication and routes for raising concerns. Students learn best when they feel safe enough to ask questions, admit uncertainty and receive feedback. Parents also need to know how progress, attendance and concerns will be communicated.
